National Dentist Day Today is National Dentist's Day.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate our dentists who continue to work tirelessly to deliver excellent care during a challenging and unprecedented time in the medical and dental environment.

It’s also a day to bring awareness to dentistry so that people will remember to care for their teeth. A favorite saying at Mineola Dental Care is an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure.

Thank you also to our dentist colleagues, friends and mentors all over the world for all you do to lift your teams and deliver the best care possible for your patients. Smiles are precious, let’s continue to make them happen.

If there is one thing that regular Zoom conference calls has revealed, it's how much we are looking at our teeth now! While teeth whitening or veneers can give us a more youthful smile, and straightening your teeth is always a good idea for the longevity of your smile, having daily hygiene habits that care for your teeth are an important foundation to keeping your teeth for your lifetime. So here's a thumbs up for dental health!

Did you know that this week we celebrated National Brush Your Teeth Day? While every day is a tooth-brushing day, it's fun to know that we have a day dedicated to our healthy smiles. Kids of all ages should be brushing twice daily with age appropriate brushes - what works for your little one won't necessarily work for adult teeth. If you're not sure what works best to keep your teeth in working order, ask at your next appointment, or give us a call for our recommendation. Here's to happy brushing!
