Seyfried Dental Family,
It has been my sincere pleasure to be your dentist here in Carson Valley for the past nineteen years. The people of this community are truly special, and it has been an honor to care for you and your families. When I moved here from San Diego after practicing dentistry there for twenty-three years, you welcomed this Southern California boy with open arms and made me feel like part of an incredible community.
I will always cherish the relationships I have built with my patients and my wonderful staff. I have truly loved practicing dentistry and helping people improve their health and smiles. However, after more than forty years in practice, I feel the time has come to begin a new chapter—one that allows me to spend more time with my grandchildren, enjoy music, travel, the outdoors, and time with friends and family. While I will certainly miss the profession I love, I take great comfort in knowing I have found the right person to continue caring for you.
Over the past several years, I have been searching for someone who shares my commitment to providing exceptional dentistry with honesty, compassion, and integrity. I am delighted to introduce Dr. Tanner Boatman, who will be taking over the practice.
Dr. Boatman is a graduate of the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. He grew up just over the hill in Lincoln, California, and spent many vacations enjoying everything Carson Valley has to offer. His father is also a respected dentist, so Tanner understands firsthand the importance of treating patients with skill, kindness, and respect.
Ever since he was young, Tanner dreamed of living and raising a family in Carson Valley. Today, that dream has become a reality. He and his wife, Emily, along with their two young children, Harper and Brady, are excited to become part of this wonderful community and are already enjoying everything the area has to offer.
Dr. Boatman has pursued extensive advanced training in many areas of dentistry, including dental implant placement, modern crown and bridge techniques, cosmetic and restorative dentistry, fillings, and removable prosthetics. He is committed to providing the highest quality dental care while building lasting relationships with his patients. I have every confidence that you will appreciate his clinical skills, professionalism, and genuine concern for your well-being.
I am also pleased to let you know that Jessica, Mari, Anna, and Susanna will all be staying with the practice. They are the finest team I have had the privilege of working with during my forty years in dentistry, and their continued presence will help make this transition seamless. Together with Dr. Boatman, they remain dedicated to providing you with the exceptional care and friendly service you have come to expect.
I encourage you to stop by on August 27, 2026 from 5-7 P.M, meet Dr. Boatman, and say hello to the staff you already know and trust. Although I am retiring from practice, I won’t be far away and look forward to seeing you around our wonderful community.
Thank you for the confidence and trust you have placed in me over the years. Caring for you has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, and I will always be grateful for the friendships and memories we have shared.
