Seyfried Dental Arts -General and Cosmetic Dentistry He chose to settle in San Diego, California where he built his General Dentistry practice over the period of the next 22 years.

Dr. Seyfried graduated from USC School of Dentistry in 1984 with a dual license to practice in the state of California and Nevada. During that time, he attended numerous advanced education programs including the Las Vegas Institute for Cosmetic Dentistry. In addition to a comprehensive list of "nuts and bolts" dental services, Dr. Seyfried's office offers Invisalign, whitening, sports retainers, s

nore guards, smile enhancements, and periodontal disease treatments. The team continually stays abreast of the latest advances in techniques and materials available to the patient. There are also a variety of anesthetic options to ensure optimum comfort for our patients. Dr. Seyfried has been an active member for many years of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, San Diego Dental Society, American Academy of Sleep Dentistry, Clinical Research Associates, the Dental Board of Ethics, and just recently, the Northern Nevada Dental Society and Nevada Dental Association. In 2006, Dr. Seyfried decided to make a lifestyle change and move to the great state of Nevada where he is now practicing in the Carson Valley, just east of the Lake Tahoe area. He enjoys flyfishing, skiing, hiking and backpacking.

Review for James W. Seyfried, DDS

My Dentist was on vacation and Dr. Seyfried was his recommended stand-in while out. I needed help quickly and Dr. Seyfried was able to fit me in the afternoon I called. His Dental Assistant was wonderful (sorry I cannot recall her name, but she’s Hispanic and very nice and extremely knowledgeable and thorough. As a matter of fact, she correctly diagnosed my condition prior to the Doctor’s official diagnosis. I was in and out of their office in about 20 minutes after having received a full examination with pictures (to show me the issue) and some adjustments necessary to the two fillings I’d had done the week before. Dr. Seyfried ground down those two new fillings to make sure my bite was correct. I can certainly recommend Dr. Seyfried and his trusty Assistant as my visit couldn’t have gone any better!

I’ve been a very satisfied patient for many years receiving several crowns and routine dental cleanings. There are occasions where it’s difficult to get or stay numb for the procedure and Dr is always so understanding and knowledgeable to work through it. However, this team continues to impress and always goes above and beyond to help manage other “life” circumstances too. I’ve dealt with cancer and required several scheduling adjustments and most recently, had concerns of those treatments side effects potentially causing secondary issues with my teeth and other oral structures. Long and short, Jess, Mari, and Dr got me in right away to get that all checked out and left with some better options for the pain and followup care. This entire crew truly treats me like “family” and have been so very supportive well beyond the fantastic dental care. Thank YOU always for ALL you do!!! Lori
