He graduated from Douglas High School in 1984. That is where he met his future wife, Kathy Dangberg, a fourth generation from the Valley. They both graduated from
University of Nevada Reno. In 1995, Tom graduated from University of Colorado School of Dentistry where he was awarded membership into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. As soon as he could, he, his wife, and children moved back to the Carson Valley area. Tom worked with his childhood dentist, Dr. Walter Niemeyer, for four years. In 1999, he went out on his own and opend his dental office where he currently works today. He works with his wife, Kathy, and his mother-in-law Karen Wilcks. He has two outstanding Dental Hygienists, Julie Arneson and Kerry Nolsch, and also two wonderful Chairside Assistants, Kristy Spotts, and Alyssa Unruh. As mentioned earlier, every team member has grown up in this area and has chosen to raise their families in this same community. With similar high values and beliefs, they make a great team. Dr. Unruh's office is located in Minden just south of McDonalds on Highway 395. Because of their second story location, patients can enjoy a wonderful view of the valley and mountains year round from each treatment chair.
