We are happy to announce we have added a new Doctor to our practice at the beginning of November. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Julie Iskra.

Dr. Julie Iskra is originally from Newington, Connecticut where her interest in dentistry first began in high school while shadowing her childhood dentist. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Premedical Studies and Health Sciences at MCPHS University in Boston. After graduating, she moved to Portland, Maine and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of New England. Upon graduating, Dr. Iskra began her career in New Hampshire but just recently became a Vermonter!
Dr. Iskra’s favorite part of dentistry is the relationships she forms with her patients while providing the highest level of care. She recognizes that going to the dentist can be an anxiety provoking experience for many and hopes to make her patients’ experience positive and supportive.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Iskra loves to be outdoors hiking, skiing, biking, and swimming. She loves being with her family, friends, and two kittens.

We at Milton Family Dentistry are doing our absolute best to keep our patients and ourselves safe during Pandemic. It’s been a challenge to obtain proper PPE and adapt new protocols but we will continue to keep ourselves properly equipped and informed in this ever changing time.

Vermont dentists say they're last in line for personal protective equipment, as well as financial help from the state in dealing with crisis.

Dear Patients:

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
• Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
• We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
• You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
• Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
• We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
We have installed Air purifiers with Hepa filters in each operatory along with employing new high speed evacuation devices, all in an effort to reduce aerosols to make our office as safe as possible for us and our patients.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. We have a lot of appointments to reschedule and will be reaching out to those of you who missed there appointment ASAP. To make an appointment, please call our office at 802-893-4734 or visit our website at www.miltonfamilydentistryvt.com.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Sincerely,

Dr. Pecor, Dr. Fitzgerald and the team at Milton Family Dentistry

Good morning. Hope everyone is doing well. Just wanted to update you all that our go back date has once again been pushed back on the governor and Vermont state dental society recommendations to May 18. Dr. Pecor will be on call if anyone has a dental emergency come up. You can get his information by calling the office and listening to the answering machine. Hope you all are enjoying the sunshine and have a happy and healthy Easter and your Sunday.

Update*** We are continuing to monitor the recommendations of the ADA (American Dental Association) to bring you the safest and best care. Currently the ADA has recommended dental offices remain closed until April 30 for all non emergent/urgent care. If you are a current patient of record experiencing an emergency, we are still here for you, and you can call the office to get more information on how to contact one of the dentist to help you. Stay safe everyone.
