Cavities don't go away. Ignore it, it just get bigger and deeper until you start to feel sensitive to sweet and cold. Then dark brown stain pit or crater appears. Finally broken down and cracked tooth. Not to mention Pain. So why wait? Get your check up and get them fixed.

Parent should watch out for gummy bear vitamin. It is loaded with sugar. They stick to the teeth for prolong period of time after consumption, therefore increase cavities risk. Kids think it is candy and eat more than is necessary, exposes them to high levels of iron or other ingredients in the vitamin .

About your toothbrush....
1. Change your toothbrush once every three months. Frayed toothbrush does not removed plaque and food debris effectively from your teeth and gum.
2. Place your toothbrush far-far away from toilet. Every time you flashed, all those bacterial infested aerosol flew into the air and landed on who knows what.
3. Do not share. I know sharing is caring but not this one. You do not want to spread germs
from one to another.
4. Don't forget your recall appointment. Not only do you get your pearly white clean, a new toothbrush is on us.

A few patients asked me about using charcoal toothpaste to whiten their teeth and they told me it had a lot of positive reviews on Amazon. I was a bit puzzle, thinking is that the real charcoal, the black kind that sit on the barbecue grill? After reading about it, I guess technically it does worked by binding charcoal to stain and removed the stain. Unfortunately, it is also very abrasive and wear down your enamel. If you want whitening done right, professional whitening is the best option. If you are on the tight budget, go with over the counter whitening strips.
