Why is a scaling and root planing needed? Otherwise known as a deep cleaning, this is when plaque sits on the teeth for too long and mineralizes into a stone-like substance called calculus or tartar, causing bone loss and gum disease. Professional intervention is needed to clean and stop this irreversible process, requiring more than a regular cleaning.

Did you know that money in your FSA may be forfeited at the end of the calendar year?
If you don’t use it, you could lose it!

If you are unsure of those rules, now is the time to find out.
Ask your account manager how much money is in your account and if it has a 'use it or loose it' rule. Then call us for tips on how to utilize the available funds. Some accounts allow you to purchase products such as electric tooth brushes or teeth whitening products.

One round of internal bleaching results for a patient who had a dark front tooth. Over time, root canaled teeth can turn dark. This is a great and inexpensive alternative to a veneer or crown, and the right candidate will have great results! Call or message for a consultation if you think this is right for you.
