With Halloween right around the corner, you’ll probably be seeing lots of pumpkins, fall decorations, spooky costumes, and your dentist’s worst nightmare—sweets. It’s okay to have fun and enjoy your trick-or-treating goodies, but keep these tips in mind so your family is healthy all year long.

Teeth-friendly Halloween tips:

Steer clear of sticky candy, lollipops, and gummies.

Limit the number of sweets your family is allowed to eat each day.

Brush with a fluoride toothpaste and floss 30 minutes after eating candy.

Drink plenty of water.
