I just love this community! Bell County Senior Center made a post that funding had been taken away by the state and they were going to have to decrease their meal deliveries to local senior citizens. These seniors not only get a warm, homemade meal, they also get a friendly face and much needed interaction with people who truly care about them.

Since then, our community sure did come together to help fund these meals and it's such a beautiful thing to see. This is our challenge to other businesses to please consider donating to the senior center as they will be facing so many adversities now that their funding is cut.

Our phones are down for the next 30ish minutes due to wires being chewed in half.

Also, if anyone knows how to humanely remove a groundhog from outside our building so he will quit eating our cables and causing chaos in our lives, that would be fantastic 🤣 he is very cute though!

We've been having fun with Scalplase! After only 4 sessions you can see how much his hair has thickened up, we can't wait to see what it looks like when he's finished with all his sessions! This procedure takes about 5 minutes of your time every 4 weeks (takes about 45 seconds to actually do it but we like to talk 😁😉)! Easy procedure with very minimal to no pain using our Erbium laser!

If you have noticed some thinning, give us a call! We can see if you're a good candidate for Finasteride and/or minoxidil prescription while you're here too!

This week we're celebrating 4 years as Barton Esthetic and Family Dentistry!

When Dr. Barton and I graduated dental school, we had a 6 month old baby and absolutely no idea how to open or run a business (they definitely don't teach that in dental school!). In August of 2022, we took over Dr. Joe Boster's office, and we've loved every second of it.
We've learned so much along the way. Taxes are WILD. Supply costs are even crazier. Insurance companies have probably been our biggest headache. But our patients make every single second worth it. Work doesn't feel like work. It feels like hanging out with your besties every day.

Our staff has been one of our greatest blessings. They show up, work hard, and fit our personalities so perfectly. They genuinely care about every single patient who walks through our doors and always want what's best for them. We truly couldn't have asked God to bless us with a better team.

This week we're just taking a moment to celebrate everything God has blessed us with. Our community pours into us every single day, and we'll continue doing everything we can to pour right back into you. Our cups are full, our hearts are grateful, and we can't wait to continue serving this community for many years to come.

Thank you for trusting us, supporting us, and making these last four years so incredibly special. ❤️

Our veterans have earned our gratitude and our support.

If you are a veteran, active-duty service member, reservist, National Guard member, or a military family member, I encourage you to attend the First Annual Southeast Kentucky Veterans Resource Fair on Friday, Aug. 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Knott County Sports Complex in Leburn.

This free event will connect attendees with service officers, community partners and other organizations offering assistance with veterans' benefits, employment, PTSD resources and more. Food, refreshments and door prizes will also be provided.

I encourage anyone who may benefit from these resources to attend, and I hope you'll help spread the word.

Today, we had the honor of helping a very special patient! Dakota has a mass in her hard palate and her vet (who also happens to be her mom) wanted to get a closer look at it and 3D CBCT imaging is hard to access in our area. Thankfully, we have one and believe fur babies are family! Dakota was sedated, a CT scan was taken (with a lot of help), and her sedation was reversed in office!

This was such a cool case to be apart of but we sure are praying for Dakota and her family while they figure out what this mass is.

(And yes, everything was disinfected thoroughly after)!
