***COVID – 19 UPDATE (Opening soon!)***

We are all very anxious to see each of you again. We have been diligently working to obtain all proper Personal protective equipment (PPE) and implementing protocols to best protect all of our patients and staff. As reported for weeks on the news outlets there are difficulties in obtaining PPE items needed to practice, such as masks and face shield. We are happy to report that we have all of these items on order and they are on their way to the office. Therefore, we anticipate an opening date in the next 1-2 weeks. We will be sending out more information about our protocols in the coming days to allow our patients to view our efforts and ask any questions that you may have, as well as to update you of a specific date for opening. We do not want to set this date until we have all of the ordered items physically in our office.
As stated on previous posts, please continue to contact the office for any type of emergency or problem that you may encounter with your dental health as we are always here for you! We look forward to treating our patients again very soon and we hope that all are doing well and staying healthy. Smile, we love to see you smile, and can’t wait to see you again!

**COVID- 19 UPDATE**

As we continue to monitor the developments relating to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), I want to take a moment to update everyone on what we are doing to protect you since the outbreak of the COVID-19 (Corona Virus). Due to the current COVID-19 outbreak the American Dental Association and the Maryland State Dental Association has recommended that all elective dental procedures be postponed for three weeks. Per those guidelines we have opted out of an abundance of caution, to postpone all scheduled elective dental procedure appointments with patient until that time.
Remember, we are always available if you have a dental emergency. You can still contact the office to schedule an emergency visit with Dr. Wassif. We have started a vigorous cleaning process of the office on top of our already stringent Standard Precautions that have been in place since we opened in 2005. This includes wiping down all of our common surfaces (i.e. door k***s and counter tops). Further cancellations may follow as we continue to monitor the latest information, making the best decisions with everyone’s well-being at the center of our actions.
Once it is deemed safe to resume routine dental care, we will be back to functioning at full capacity. Thank you for your cooperation. Be Safe and we appreciate your help in preventing the spread of the virus.

Examples of DENTAL EMERGENCIES:

- Severe toothache (throbbing that prevents sleep or daily functioning)
- Swelling of gums, face or neck
- Bleeding in the mouth that does not stop
- Trauma

Please feel free to call if you are uncertain of what to do if you deem your situation as non-emergent as we are always here for our patients and hope to be back in the office as soon as possible. Stay Safe and Healthy!

Our office is currently closed due to the recommendation of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Maryland State Dental Association (MSDA) concerning the COVID-19 outbreak for a minimum of 2 weeks. If you have an appointment that needs to be changed, if you have not already been contacted, our office will contact you to make that change. If you wish to call the office and leave a message please do so and we will contact you as soon as possible.
