Believe it or not, human teeth have been used in jewelry and keepsakes throughout history.
During the 19th century, teeth could be preserved as sentimental mementos or incorporated into jewelry. Some pieces were associated with mourning, while others may have held personal significance for the wearer.
Within our collection, we have a stick pin featuring a tooth! Stick pins were fashionable accessories during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, often worn through a necktie or cravat.
We may not know the full story behind our piece, but it certainly makes us wonder... Who wore it, and why, and most importantly, whose tooth was it?
