This patient presented to the office desiring a new smile. Unfortunately, the gingival levels were uneven, the remaining ridge on the upper right was horizontally deficient and there was caries underneath the old restorations. In order to align the soft tissues and maintain a ferrule on the upper right lateral, orthodontics would be necessary and given that the patient was 70 years old, this was an unrealistic expectation. He did allow us to do a connective tissue graft to augment the upper right area and then simply fabricate a bridge to replace the missing teeth, enhancing the overall aesthetics of his smile. Happy patient = Happy dentist 😀

Patient presented with a big infection in the first bicuspid region and old bridgework with receding gums. Had to intervene immediately, extract tooth and bone graft to let heal. No buccal plate of bone. Rebuilt ridge with bone and soft tissue a second time with implant placement for replacement of the upper right first bicuspid region. single unit crowns in bicuspids and cantilevered lateral off the canine to finish the case. Not easy or ideal but considering the anatomy, successful. Happy patient = happy dentist

Super nice gentleman had an accident at a young age. Both teeth devitalized with little remaining tooth structure and large composite restorations . Lived like this for years looking for the right person to treat him. Pt knows he needs orthodontics but wants to wait. Some internal and external bleaching and 2 ceramic restorations was all that it took for the confidence to come back. Happy patient = happy dentist!!

Some patients want natural looking teeth and a some want the whitest possible. I learned a long time ago to give them what they want. This patient went through ortho, extractions, some implants and a full mouth rehab. She clarified throughout the treatment about the color she wanted. she wanted the whitest possible color. In order to make it look better, the teeth had internal characterization layered facially. Although I hesitated, I was super happy that she could pull it off in the end and was super happy with the result. . Happy patient = happy dentist 😀

12.5 year follow up on a severe erosion case. This patient was treated with emax bonded restorations on the upper arch and lower posterior and resin bonding on the lower anteriors. The patient disappeared for a while but surprisingly holding up very well. Always a learning experience to see your restorations age and their behavior!! Still a happy patient = happy dentist. 😀

Another complicated rehabilitation on a patient with class ll deep bite, caries, failing Endodontics, and of course poor esthetics. After cleaning up caries, provisionalization and orthodontics to align, intrude, and proline the lower anterior teeth. From there, it was just determining the correct length and VD to achieve the desired anterior relationship. Happy patient = happy dentist 😀

Another rehabilitation finished. Patient presented with caries, failing restoration, and wanting an esthetic improvement to her smile. Due to the tooth position, there were large negative spaces on upper and lower arches. All teeth were very dark due to tetracycline staining. Almost every tooth had caries. Through orthodontic treatment and restorative therapy, we were able to improve her smile and make the patient happy. Happy patient = happy dentist 😀
