This patient presented to the office desiring a new smile. Unfortunately, the gingival levels were uneven, the remaining ridge on the upper right was horizontally deficient and there was caries underneath the old restorations. In order to align the soft tissues and maintain a ferrule on the upper right lateral, orthodontics would be necessary and given that the patient was 70 years old, this was an unrealistic expectation. He did allow us to do a connective tissue graft to augment the upper right area and then simply fabricate a bridge to replace the missing teeth, enhancing the overall aesthetics of his smile. Happy patient = Happy dentist 😀
