I'll continue to urge people to avoid scammy corporate run offices like this, including those pretending to be privately owned but in reality are run by a private equity firm. They give the profession a bad name.

Please be advised that if you have People's Health insurance, your DENTAL benefits have changed SIGNIFICANTLY this year versus last year. Yes, they (United Health Care, the company that owns People's) increased your annual maximums, but they slashed your benefits in half for services. In other words, you now have a 50% copay for services other than your routine x-rays, cleaning, and exam. Prior to this change, everything was covered at 100%. This is a pattern for UHC -- 2 years ago, implant services were covered on this plan. They quietly removed this coverage 1 year ago, without informing patients. I would advise clients of People's to either consider dropping them or contact your insurer to express your discontent. I would not be surprised if this is part of how UHC paid for the increased reimbursement that the LCMC hospital system received at the end of last year.

Today's completed case: 2 veneers, 1 crown, 1 implant and crown. The surgeon’s Implant placement was way less than ideal, but we managed to make him a restoration he was very happy with.

Conclusions and Relevance: In this cohort study, oral bacteria and fungi were significant risk factors for pancreatic cancer development. Oral microbiota hold promise as biomarkers to identify individuals at high risk of pancreatic cancer, potentially contributing to personalized prevention.

This cohort study tests whether the oral bacterial and fungal microbiome is associated with the subsequent development of pancreatic cancer.
