Covid-19 Update We Are Open For You!
Hello Dental Family-
I wanted to update our dental family on the current Covid-19 Pandemic. First off, I hope everyone is happy, healthy, and making the most of our situation. I have personally enjoyed some memorable moments with my kids and family. Although my kids are aged 3-14, I truly believe they will look back on this time with fond memories. They are not as aware of the difficult moments of sickness, economic distress, and uncertainty the “Adult” world sees, but they are very aware of the increased family time, game nights, deeper relationship bonding with siblings, freedoms from school and other responsibilities, trips to some remote regions in nature, and general closeness this pandemic has inadvertently caused. It gave me a great moment of perspective in that even in the most difficult times, we can always find joy.
With that being said, I want all of our beloved dental family patients to know that we are here for you. We are still open, and able to see anyone with urgent dental needs. In late March, Governor Ducey declared an Executive Order for healthcare providers to eliminate any non-essential medical procedures in order to preserve PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for urgent healthcare. That decision meant that many of you have had to have your cleaning hygiene appointments cancelled to be rescheduled at a later time. Thank you for your understanding.
In the meantime, we are still very much available to see any of you with pain, discomfort, or any other dental issues that could lead to something worse if not treated (ex. Deep cavities). We have also implemented Teledentistry in which we can often remotely, through our phones, diagnose dental problems and give treatment recommendations. This has been a great benefit to those of our patients who are more at-risk of leaving their homes. In the office we follow rigorous disinfecting standards to keep you safe. Please don’t hesitate to call.
We do not know how long this pandemic will last, or when things will get “back to normal,” but I do know that if we are there for each other, we can make it through together. Elite Smiles is here for you!
Sincerely,
Dr. Blake Shreeve, DMD
