Today we honor and celebrate the life of Carl (CJ) Metz D.D.S. - an incredible dentist, mentor, colleague, son, brother, and friend. Originally from North Platte, Nebraska, Dr. Metz devoted his life to advancing dentistry and caring for each person who trusted him with their smile.
Dr. Metz wasn’t just a dentist - he cared deeply about every patient who walked through the doors of Vibrant Dentistry. His approach was always personal, compassionate, and centered around serving others with integrity and heart.
He was a leader who pushed for cutting-edge dental care and never stopped striving for the best possible patient experience. Dr. Metz was a graduate of the world-renowned Kois Center, an evidence-based advanced education institute where only the most dedicated dentists train to master restorative, implant, and esthetic dentistry.
Dr. Metz served as a Fellow and board member of the American Academy of Clear Aligners (AACA) - a distinction awarded to dentists who demonstrate the highest level of expertise, clinical excellence, and leadership in clear aligner therapy. He was also certified in dental implant care and trained in advanced techniques designed to support long-term bone health and stability.
Innovation wasn’t just something he admired - he contributed to it. Dr. Metz held a patent for his technique for placing Invisalign attachments, improving the comfort, accuracy, and outcomes of aligner treatment for patients everywhere.
There was truly no one like him - his blend of talent, curiosity, generosity, and heart made him one of a kind.
He built more than a practice, he built a community of smiles, trust, and unforgettable moments. From volunteer efforts in local and global outreach to patient appreciation events, his impact was felt far beyond the dental chair
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Metz loved life - whether it was spending time outdoors hiking and camping, cheering on Husker football, or enjoying moments with his family and friends. He brought that same joy, energy, and genuine kindness to his practice every single day.
