How long should you go before replacing your retainer??
Retainers can last a year or ten years! It totally depends on the material they are made of and the person wearing them. Either way, you should know what to look for so you know when it is time to replace!

What I ate for lunch today…
Several people have been asking me about my trip to Peru… besides Machu Pichu and the amazing people and culture… the food!!
The fruits are all so sweet, fresh and delicious- and what a variety. Have you ever had granadilla??
Bread for every breakfast. Coca tea to help with elevation sickness in Cusco. The pollo empanada tastes like chicken pot pie in your hand… but better! Gotta admit, the ceviche in Lima was better than expected- not quite as good as the sashimi in Japan, but really good. The chicha morada drink blew my mind. 🤯I had to order some dried purple corn so i can make it at home. 🤤

Pretty cool that proceeds get donated to a non-profit that helps struggling school aged kids get their teeth fixed. 🙏

This is an intervention! 🫣 It is officially time to replace the old brush head on your electric toothbrush. I know you have been putting it off. How do I know…. Um… it’s definitely not because I put it off too. 😂
The truth is, old brushes breed a lot of bacteria. Plus, once the bristles are worn out, they don’t clean as well as a new brush.
It is tempting to buy a pack of generic replacements, but take it from me- just spend a few more bucks and buy a pack of the name brand brushes.

What is a dental crown? Dental crowns are used when a tooth is badly cracked, or broken, or doesn’t have enough of a supportive foundation to withstand chewing long-term.
Crowns are custom made caps for teeth and are made of white porcelain material. This way, the crown resembles a natural tooth.
When done properly, a crown can last for decades, sometimes longer.
