If you’re thinking about whitening toothpaste for your child, we recommend that you check the label and make sure that it is ok for ages 2 and up. If so, your child can use a pea-sized amount when they brush.

Since baby teeth are not permanent, whitening pastes shouldn’t be too much of a concern for young children. These pastes are only good for removing surface stains, not deeper stains that may come from food, medications or injuries.

Looking for a tasty yet healthy after school snack? Give this veggie dip a try. Kids love it and it’s a great way to get them to enjoy their vegetables! 🥕 🥦

Ingredients
1 cup Greek yogurt, plain
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon parsley, dried
1/2 teaspoon chives, dried
1/4 teaspoon dill w**d, dried
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon black pepper, ground
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milk
Your favorite veggies

Here’s how to make it:
Place all ingredients except the milk in a mixing bowl. Mix until smooth and blended. To reach desired consistency, slowly add 1-2 tbsp of milk. Mix after each addition. Then, slice veggies and serve with dip. Enjoy!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Here’s a fun craft you can do today to make your own Shamrock Slime! ☘️

To make your own Shamrock ☘️ Slime, you will need the following:
3.5oz white craft glue
½ tsp baking soda
Green gel food coloring
1 tsp contact lens solution
Green glitter
Shamrock confetti

Here’s how to make it:
First, squeeze all of your glue into a mixing bowl, add baking soda and mix well. Next, add a few drops of food coloring and mix. Then, add your contact lens solution and you’ll start to notice the slime texture forming. Keep mixing until slime is in a ball, then knead it like dough. It will become smooth the more you need it. Add in your glitter and confetti then enjoy playing with your Shamrock Slime! ☘️

If your child is complaining about pain while chewing, they may have a cavity. Here are some other signs to look out for that may signal a cavity is developing:

🦷 tooth sensitivity while eating or drinking hot or cold
🦷 cracks in the tooth
🦷 white or dark spots on the tooth
🦷 pain anywhere in the mouth

If you’re noticing any of these signs, call us for an appointment. It is very important that we treat cavities, even in baby teeth, so that the adult teeth will come in healthy. Also, we don’t want your child to be in any pain so let us take care of any cavities as soon as you notice them.

It’s true! Our ancestors made the first toothbrush out of twigs. 🪵 The twigs with worn edges were used to clean food out from between the teeth. Luckily, we nowadays have a lot of options for toothbrushes that are a lot more comfortable to use!
