Full mouth (digital) reconstruction in progress for this lovely patient!

These cases take patience and time. Today is a year since we provisonalized the upper arch. Lower implants placed in January.

Uneventful healing and now we have final restorations temp cemented on the upper arch and a prototype screw retained bridge on the lower.

As soon as we dial in occlusion, will finalize the lower and final cement the upper.

Precision 7-unit fixed partial denture with ovate pontics completed this morning with zero adjustments.

Digital impressions using our TRIOS5.

Sometimes I hear dentists say they intraoral scan for smaller cases, but still take impressions for larger cases like this, especially when splinted.

This morning I completed preparation and provisionals for this FMR case.

We started with digital impressions and photography for a smile design and custom digital waxup with help and guidance from my concierge digital technician Ben Guilford at . We used the designs to manufacture custom shell provisionals.

We opened the VDO in the design. One prep day one last week, I prepared the anterior 16 teeth and established the new VDO and added resin to the molars.

This week after confirming the patient was comfortable I prepared the molars and developed the new occlusion.

We take milestone scans of the provisionals so we can compare back to the preop situation using TRIOS patient monitoring.

From here, this FMR becomes more predictable and can be finalized in phases or however desired.

That’s a wrap for 2024!

Today marks completion of 15 years in my own practice after 7 years of associateships when i started.

Wow so many ups and downs to get to where we are today. From starting during the Great Recession to surviving Covid and finding a way to thrive afterwards.

I’m most of all grateful for my team who help make this possible everyday and the community of wonderful people who took a chance on me to be their dentist and gave me their trust.

It’s a responsibility I take seriously year after year.

Looking forward to the next 15! Thank you again!!
