Dr. Parkhurst’s post graduate education includes The Dawson Center, Spear Education, Cosmedent’s Center for Esthetic Excellence, Strupp/Brumm, Clinical Mastery Series, The MOD Institute, and Magne Education. Dr. Parkhurst has a passion for comprehensive and rehabilitation dentistry which is demonstrated by his commitment to continuing education. Dr. Parkhurst is a faculty member with Clinical Mastery Series, regularly lecturing on and demonstrating aesthetic treatment planning, Anterior Aesthetic dentistry as well as other topics.


Outside the dental office, Dr. Parkhurst enjoys giving back to the community and has been Director of dental Triage for Memphis’ Midsouth Mission of Mercy since it’s inception in 2016. Dr. Parkhurst has been a part of several mission trips to locations including, Mexico, Honduras, Ghana and other local mission opportunities. Dr. Parkhurst is the 2026-2027 president of the Memphis Dental Society.

Engaged? We are so excited for you! If you already set a date for 2027, here’s when you should start planning your most confident smile.

1. Brush and Floss, today. The best day to start was yesterday but the next best day is today.

2. Cleaning and polishing. Two weeks before your big day and 6 months before that. Count backwards.

3. Are you covering your teeth in photos? Come see us this fall to discuss your most confident smile. We can plan-but we need time. If your teeth need restoring, let’s get you taken care before the wedding bells are ringing!

The bacteria in plaque produce acids that erode tooth enamel, eventually creating a hole, or cavity, in the tooth surface. Left untreated, this decay can spread to the interior of the tooth, and might lead to the need for a crown, a root canal, or even extraction. This would slow you down, as a wolf-obviously. When caught early, your dentist (Dr. Savage or Parkhurst) can treat your cavity conservatively by restoring your tooth’s function and appearance with a filling. Keeping you strong in the pack, ready to hunt prey.

What kind of filling do you need? Your choice of restoration will depend on the location of the cavity and how much of the tooth structure is affected. We will keep you howling and hunting, nothing less than greatness is acceptable.

“I actually look forward to my visits to their office. My hygienist, Erin, is good at what she does, but I really appreciate even more that she remembers me and it’s like visiting with a friend I haven’t seen in a while and catching up in the short time she cleans my teeth. Dr. Parkhurst, in addition to being an excellent dentist, is personable and always. willing to answer questions and never seems rushed or impatient.
