Happy Summer from your fave Dental Peeps! 😁 Hopefully you have already seen this on our Summer Updates email or when you were in the office but just in case you missed it, we are having a coloring contest for End of Summer/back to school fun☀️🏫 that all patients - young and old - are welcome to enter!

Calling all swans and cygnets! Dress in your favorite feathery or fancy outfit as we kick off Make Way for Cygnets with a Community photo of all our swans and cygnets at 11.30am on the Front Steps of Memorial Hall. The join us, as we walk, waddle, and roll from Memorial Hall to the gazebo at Ell Pond, for picnicking, face painting, and more family fun at the Ell Pond gazebo. [Sponsored by Nowak Family Dental and designed by City Councilor Cal M. Finocchiaro.]

While there, families and guests of all feathers are invited to pose for professional family portraits by Raj Das of ED Photography. Individual family photos will be uploaded to a publicly viewable online gallery and made available to purchase as a high resolution image download ($10) on or around May 8, just in time for Mother’s Day!

We are so excited to announce that this year, we will be participating in the Melrose Victorian Fair! Stop by the NFD booth to spin our prize wheel and enter our raffle for a chance to win an awesome prize! We will also have a spot designated for photo ops, so make sure to find us! 📸

The Victorian Fair is held downtown (Main St. Melrose) on Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 11-4pm! We are looking forward to seeing all our favorite smiles and meeting some new ones 😁

✨🦷 TOOTH TIP TUESDAY! 🦷✨

I'm sure we've all seen or heard of charcoal toothpaste and how it claims to "help whiten teeth". Unfortunately, this misinformation is a part of their marketing tactics. Charcoal is abrasive. This can be great for skin, but not for teeth! The charcoal toothpaste can wear down your enamel, causing your teeth to look yellow over time, and can increase sensitivity. It may appear to be "removing stains", but it does not remove any stains below your enamel, like in-office or at home whitening does! Since it is abrasive, it can damage tooth enamel over time and there's an increased chance of tooth decay. Charcoal toothpaste often doesn't have fluoride and other protective ingredients that help with sensitivity or to prevent cavities!

If you are interested in a brighter smile, please reach out to us and we will be happy to go over the different methods we offer for whitening, as well as products we recommend at home 😊 We always want to make sure our patients stay informed and can practice safe and effective oral hygiene 😁

School is out, and here is to an awesome summer!! ☀️😁

We will be CLOSED for a long holiday weekend (6/30-7/4) and will be back in the office Wednesday, July 5th at 8 AM. We are also CLOSED for vacation the third week of July (7/17-7/21) and look forward to seeing your smiles when we are back! We will be back Monday, July 24 at 10 AM!

If there are any emergencies while we're away, please call us at 781-662-9119 to connect with the Doctor that will help with any urgent dental needs that cannot wait for Dr. Nowak.

Brushing your teeth is one of the most important aspects to your oral health! Did you know that electric/power toothbrushes are more effective at removing plaque that causes disease and decay?
