🦷✨ AN INCREDIBLE SMILE TRANSFORMATION USING COMPOSITE BONDING! ✨🦷

This patient came to us with rampant decay, periodontal disease, severe crowding, and significant concerns about both the health and appearance of his smile. What you see in this video is the result of a carefully planned, comprehensive treatment journey focused on rebuilding his smile while preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible. 🙌😁

The transformation took:

⏱️ 4 months of treatment
🪑 14 hours of chair time
🪥 Periodontal therapy & ongoing maintenance
🦷 8 teeth extracted
✨ Composite bonding on 18 teeth

While the cosmetic transformation is dramatic, the most important part of this case is restoring and maintaining his oral health. Because of his history of periodontal disease, he will continue with periodontal maintenance cleanings every 3 months to help protect his teeth, gums, and new restorations for years to come.

🎬 MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE — DENTAL EDITION 🦷

🕵️‍♂️ After returning from a long weekend, Dr. McGavin discovered a problem… he was completely locked out of his personal office. 🔐😳

And unfortunately, his magnification loupes and other gear he needs to see patients were locked inside.

With patients arriving and no time to delay care, there was only one logical solution:

Break in through the ceiling. 😂

What followed was a full-blown Mission: Impossible operation involving going above the ceiling tiles, some creative problem-solving, and a determined dentist.

This video documents the entire rescue mission from Dr. McGavin’s phone AND the security cameras. Just like Tom Cruise, Dr. McGavin doesn't have a stunt double!🎥

🐴🦷 Throwback to 5 years ago!

Dr. McGavin had the unique opportunity to try his hand at equine dentistry while working alongside a veterinarian!

Unlike human teeth, a horse’s teeth continue to erupt throughout its life. Because of the way horses chew, their teeth can develop sharp or uneven edges that need to be periodically filed down. This is a procedure known as floating.

Dr. McGavin got some hands-on experience helping file down a horse’s teeth and learning how different dentistry can look when your patient weighs 1,000 pounds! 😂

Definitely one of the more memorable dental patients he’s had over the years!

If only everyone was as fearless about going to the dentist as one of our patients is! 💪

Every time we look in this patient's mouth, we get the message loud and clear - it must be intended for us because who else is going to see it!? 🤔

After getting a tattoo on the inside of your lip, there's nothing a dentist could possibly do to you that would be more painful! 💉

We look at thousands of mouths per year so when we see something like this, we can't help but ask questions!

Viera has hundreds of ponds to fish in. This pond right across the street from White Palm Dental behind the Azul apartments didn't disappoint! We caught 13 fish using live worms as bait in less than an hour!
