At the new patient exam, the patient presented with:⁠
🌀 Excessive overjet⁠
🌀 Severe crowding⁠
🌀 Overbite⁠
⁠
The patient wanted to achieve a straighter smile, as he had not undergone orthodontic treatment during childhood.⁠
⁠
The patient chose Invisalign treatment to achieve his desired results. The primary goals were to correct severe upper and lower crowding and reduce the overbite (how much the upper teeth overlap the lower teeth).⁠
⁠
Dr. Zach and Dr. Alex recommended the removal of upper and lower first premolars to create the space needed to properly align his teeth and improve his bite.⁠
⁠
With great compliance throughout treatment, he achieved the straight smile he had always wanted.⁠
⁠
The patient continues to wear retainers to keep his smile straight! ⁠

🍎 📚 Last month we asked our patients to nominate a teacher who makes a difference in their lives. We asked them what made them special and what they liked most about the teacher.

And we had some amazing responses! Four lucky teachers (two in the Greater Akron/ Fairlawn area, two in the Greater Medina area) won a special gift bag full of teacher essentials to use this summer and headed into the next school year!

Thank you to all of the patients for submitting such thoughtful responses! We had submissions for schools just five minutes away AND over an hour away! We love making smiles across Northeast Ohio - and we're happy to make the teachers smile, too!

Teachers, thank you for all you do - we know how important your work is and appreciate your dedication to your students! 🫶

There are two awesome events happening this coming weekend - today we're sharing about the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Medina Co. event. We're excited to see Dr. Alex in the Dunk Tank from 5:00pm until 5:40pm - he's volunteering to help raise money for the cause! Will you get in line to try to dunk him?! 👋 ⚾️

When: Saturday, June 13 - dunk Dr. Alex from 5pm-5:40pm (event goes from 10am - 10pm)

At the new patient exam, the patient presented with:⁠
🌀 Extraction of permanent tooth ⁠
🌀 Crowding⁠
🌀 Crossbite⁠
⁠
The patient and their family have been part of our practice for many years, with this patient’s siblings also completing orthodontic treatment with us.⁠
⁠
Dr. Zach and Dr. Alex’s primary goal for this case was to eliminate crowding and correct a crossbite (where an upper tooth sits behind a lower tooth). ⁠
Dr. Zach and Dr. Alex recommended treatment with braces, along with the removal of a lower central incisor to create the necessary space for proper alignment.⁠
⁠
The patient was very compliant throughout treatment. Allowing us to efficiently resolve the crowding and correct the bite. As a result, treatment was completed ahead of schedule, with an excellent outcome.⁠

The patient continues to wear retainers to keep her smile straight! ⁠
