Starting a palate expander? Here's what to expect.

The first few days may feel a little awkward as your child gets used to the appliance, and speech might sound slightly different at first. With consistent turns as directed, most kids adjust quickly. It's also normal to feel some mild pressure after each turn, and many patients develop a small gap between their front teeth during treatment. Happy Watermelon Day! 🍉 We’ve got a refreshing and easy recipe for you today! AND it’s braces-friendly! 👍

Ingredients:
• 2 cups of cubed watermelon
• ½ lime juice

Directions:
• Place your cubed watermelon in the freezer overnight.
• Place your diced, frozen watermelon into a food processor or blender.
• Add lime juice a little at a time. Taste, then add more if needed.
• Continue to process your watermelon and lime juice until you get a sorbet-like texture.
