This one comes up ALL the time, so let's break it down! 🤔

Thumb-sucking is totally normal for babies and toddlers — it's a natural comfort thing. Most kids stop on their own between ages 2-4.

But if it continues past age 4-5, it can start to affect how adult teeth come in and how the jaw develops.

The good news? There are gentle, positive ways to help your child outgrow the habit when the time is right. We're happy to talk through strategies at your next visit! 💪🦷

Future dentists in the making! 🦷✨

We had such a wonderful visit with these two sweet girls! They were so inspired by Dr. Reibel that they both announced they want to become dentists when they grow up. Better yet? They’ve already decided they want to come work right here at Mebane Pediatric Dentistry because "it looks like such a fun place!"

We might just have to hold a spot on the team for them! 💙 Big smiles like these are why we love what we do.
