To All V2 Patients,
Our office, like all businesses throughout the state, is feeling great stress, finacial hardship and the heartache of having to let many of our staff members go. Having said that, we would like to let you know that we will make ourselves available to treat emergencies and urgent dental needs as best we can while abiding strictly by the regulations in place.
Please know that your safety and well being are of the utmost importance to us and the staff at V2. As our country and local Oregon communities continue to deal with the unprecedented effects of the COVID-19 crisis, we write to inform you of our commitment to our patients in this community. The American Dental Association (ADA) and the Oregon Dental Association (ODA) have provided guidance and recommendations for those seeking dental care during the COVID-19 crisis. We are following those recommendations, along with the directives issued by Governor Brown.
The ADA, ODA, and the government authorities have recommended limiting dental treatment to emergency and urgent dental care only through at least June 15. We intend to remain available to patients who are seeking emergency or urgent dental care. Please be advised that our hours and availability may change due to government restrictions, masks and glove availability, staffing and/or demand for services.
In addition to following the guidelines set by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we have heightened our already stringent infection control and safety protocols to provide the highest level of protection for you and our staff. Additionally, we are only treating patients one at a time and common areas, such as the patient waiting area and check in desk, are frequently disinfected. We are limiting interpersonal interactions (social distancing) and asking that if someone arrives early for their appointment they wait in their vehicle and call to inform us of their arrival. For scheduled patients that are feeling ill, have a fever, or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for the virus, their appointment will be rescheduled.
If you feel you meet the requirements of a dental emergency, call the office at (503) 472-3950 and leave a message on the voicemail. Your call will be returned and an emergency appointment will be scheduled for you. Please be patient as time and access are very limited at this time. Examples of dental emergencies are swelling, bleeding or trauma ( knocked out tooth). Urgent dental care is uncontrollable pain, denture sore, or broken tooth or temporary crown.
We will all get through this but, its going to take everyone to do their part which for must of us means, stay home, stay healthy and be safe. Maybe pick up a new good habit like flossing 😁
