In Loving Memory of “The Mirror Fountain”
Arte Dental McKinney (2014–2026)
Today, we gather (briefly, and somewhat awkwardly) to say goodbye to a true legend of our hallway… the 8-foot-tall Mirror Fountain.
For 12 long years, you stood proudly at the end of the hall—reflecting smiles, calming nerves, and quietly judging everyone who walked by. You were more than décor. You were an experience. A vibe. A hydration hazard.
To the children (and let’s be honest… some adults) who couldn’t resist dipping their hands into your waters, rearranging our rocks like tiny interior designers, or testing just how “wet” the word “water feature” really was—we mourn with you.
But let’s also be honest.
Behind that serene, spa-like presence… was chaos.
A weekly ritual of hauling gallons of water like some kind of dental-office aquaman.
Endless battles with calcium buildup that clung tighter than a PPO waiting period.
Pump replacements that came and went more often than New Year’s resolutions.
And of course… the algae.
Oh, the algae.
A mysterious, ever-returning life form that no amount of scrubbing, pleading, or passive-aggressive staring could defeat.
You were beautiful.
You were peaceful.
You were… a lot.
A small, private service was held today at the dumpster behind Arte Dental. It was intimate. Emotional. Slightly damp.
As you rest now in pieces, may your waters forever flow freely… somewhere far, far away from our maintenance schedule.
To our patients: thank you for the memories, the laughs, and the occasional splash zone incident.
To the Mirror Fountain:
You will be missed.
But not your cleaning schedule.
Rest in Pieces, old pal. 💧
