We are incredibly proud to announce that Dr. Vishala Patel has officially been inducted as an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID). 🦷✨
But what does that actually mean for our patients?
Becoming an AAID Associate Fellow is much more than attending a course or adding a few letters after a name. It represents hundreds of hours of advanced education in implant dentistry, hands-on training, and successfully completing both written and clinical oral examinations.
For our patients, it means having a dentist who continues to invest deeply in understanding the science, planning, surgery, restoration, complications, and long-term care behind implant dentistry — because providing better care requires continuing to become a better clinician.
And if there is one thing those who know Dr. Patel know well, it is that learning never really stops for her.
This weekend was especially meaningful. At 6½ months pregnant, after navigating a complicated pregnancy, she still made it to Nashville to be formally inducted, reconnect with mentors and colleagues, and return to a community that has been such an important part of her journey in implant dentistry.
There were so many familiar faces, so many old memories, and a beautiful reminder of where it all began.
Because no matter how much we learn or how far we come, being around people who challenge us, teach us, and inspire us always reminds us that there is more to learn — and more ways to become better for the patients who trust us with their care.
