Texas Pediatric Dentistry

Texas Pediatric Dentistry Children are our passion, and we are committed to giving them the best possible experiences at TPD!

Texas Pediatric Dentistry is the office of Dr. Tim Brister, Dr. Jodi Tenney and Dr. Kristen Crabtree. We are located on the McKinney-Frisco border, and we see patients ages 0-18. Children are our passion, and we are committed to giving them the best possible experiences at our office to help set them up for a lifetime of good oral health. We teach them everything they need to know to properly take

care of their teeth, whether that's teaching a 5-year old how to brush better or a teenager how to floss their braces. We are a full-service pediatric dental office, including routine cleaning and hygiene appointments, in-office operative and restorative work (such as fillings, crowns, and extractions) and in-hospital sedation at Children's Hospital in Plano.

McKinney parents we are talking to you πŸ‘€

You have been meaning to book that summer dental appointment. You keep thinking you have time. And then August shows up and suddenly everyone is scrambling and appointments are pushed out longer.

34 million school hours are lost every year because of dental problems. Most of them are completely preventable. And most of them are painless until they are not.

Summer is actually the best time to come see us. No school to miss. No morning chaos. Just one appointment that sets your kid up for a great year.

Link in bio to book before the rush hits. 🦷

Mia came to her appointment, told Dr. Jodi a Frozen joke, and declared herself the Joke Queen πŸ‘‘ and honestly? We agree πŸ˜‚πŸ¦·

We are not going to spoil it. Just watch.

This is why we love what we do. These kids make every single day worth it. πŸ₯Ή

Your mouth is basically its own universe and we are not even joking 😳🦷

Most of them are harmless. A few of them are not. That is exactly why brushing, flossing, and showing up for cleanings actually matters.

The good news? We know exactly which ones to watch for. πŸ‘€

Save this one to show your kids tonight because nothing motivates a 7 year old to brush like tiny cartoon bacteria πŸ˜‚

Oral Health Month is a great time to focus on building strong habits early. Brushing twice a day, flossing, and regular dental visits help protect your child’s teeth and support a healthy, confident smile as they grow.

β€œYour kid has been grinding their teeth.” Ever heard that at a dental appointment and had no idea? 😬

You are not alone. Most parents find out from us, not from hearing it at home. And the first question is always the same β€” is this a big deal?

Here is the good news β€” teeth grinding in kids is really common and most kids outgrow it completely on their own. It is usually connected to how their bite and jaw are developing, not stress the way it is in adults.

What we watch for is when it is happening every single night, when their teeth start to look worn down, or when they wake up with headaches or jaw soreness. That is when we want to see them.

Not sure if your child is a grinder? That is exactly what we are here for. 🦷

So what actually happens when you skip brushing your teeth? The bacteria in your mouth throw a full on party and they do not clean up after themselves πŸŽ‰

This is your sign. Never skip. Never. πŸ˜…
