Happy National Tooth Fairy Day! 🧚🦷
A wiggly tooth finally came out—now what?
For most naturally lost baby teeth, aftercare is pretty simple:
🦷 If there’s a little bleeding, have your child gently bite on clean gauze until it stops.
🪥 Keep up their normal brushing routine, being careful around the tender area at first.
💧 A gentle rinse with water can help keep the area clean, but avoid vigorous swishing right after the tooth comes out.
🥣 If chewing feels uncomfortable, offer softer foods until the tenderness passes.
It’s also best to let loose baby teeth come out naturally rather than forcing them before they’re ready. If a tooth comes out because of an injury, your child has significant pain, or bleeding doesn’t settle down, contact your dentist.
After that, the only job left is keeping that tiny tooth safe and waiting to see what the Tooth Fairy pays these days! ✨🧚
