Before you start your osteotomy, remove the baby bone. It may look cute, but itā€™s not helping your drill get where it needs to go.

Hot take: your incision design is either working for you or against you. The pita pocket flap starts at the lingual line angles ā€” straight connector, interproximal releases at #18 and #20 ā€” and the whole flap peels buccal. Then the guide drops in and holds it there. Youā€™ve basically outsourced your retraction to a piece of printed resin. Thatā€™s the kind of lazy-smart surgery I teach at TRT. Helix GM in the osteotomy , keratinized tissue hugging the platform. What a Friday. Had the privilege of speaking at the Ohio AGD lecture at Dental Ceramics last week ā€” talking guided surgery, digital workflow, and the TRT protocol Iā€™ve been building with the community.
Got to reconnect with an old friend from OSU days, which never gets old. And walked away with a handful of new ones ā€” thatā€™s the part nobody tells you about when you start speaking. The connections are the whole thing.
