Did you know that February is National Children's Dental Health Month. The American Dental Association recommends children see a dentist when they get their first tooth or by the age of 1. FINALLY AN UPDATE!! We are very excited to be able to see everyone. We have made so many changes to keep our patients and staff safe. We have all of our protective equipment that has been on backorder now for a few months. So what changes have we made? We have placed large extra oral suction units in each treatment room to take out all of the aerosols that are produced while we are working. They also have UV light that destroys everything that comes through the unit. We have also placed 3 air purifiers that can individually clean 1000 square feet (total of 3000 square feet) of space and also have uv-c lights to kill things in the air. We have glass in the front when you check in and as patients enter we now are required to have you sanitize your hands as well as provide temperature checks. Of course we may look a little different as well since we are required to have face shields, N95 masks, shoe covers, and head covers. We are so excited to finally get back into the swing of things. Our newest recommendations to “shelter in place” will also extend the date for patients that do not have an emergency at this time. We will continue to see emergency situations as advised by our Illinois State Dental Society. We will continue to update you as we get the information. We will have someone answering phones at the office daily. If you have questions or need dental advice during this time please call our office! Due to recent recommmendations by the Illinois State Dental Society our office will be closed for a two week period of time. We will reopen April 1. During this time if you have an emergency please call our office. We will keep our dental family updated as recommendations change.
