For Dr. Kyle Burgmeier, the decision wasn’t immediate.

Choosing between same-day crowns and traditional crowns? 🤔

It can feel confusing, so here’s the simplest way to look at it.

✅Same-day crowns are made right in the office. A digital scan creates your custom crown, and you leave with the final result in just one visit.

✅Traditional crowns take a bit more time. It starts with a mold, followed by a temporary crown, and then a second visit once the final crown comes back from the lab.

Both protect your tooth, but many patients prefer same-day crowns because they’re faster and there’s no temporary to worry about. Traditional crowns are helpful when the tooth needs more shaping or repair before it’s ready.
