*Attention*

We would like to take a moment to thank all of our patient's and their families for helping to make the transition of operating under Covid rules and regulations manageable and effective so that we may continue to offer Orthodontic care.

We have incorporated new standards of increased PPE and sanitization for our staff as well as the office and that has allowed us to continue to be able to offer patient care in a safe and fun environment.

We believe in having complete transparency in regards to any Covid exposure's or positive cases in our office, with staff member's or patient's.

We were contacted by the Marquette County Health department regarding an exposure that ultimately was a positive Covid case. The exposure incident was this past Tuesday, October 13th, 2020. The case was not with our staff or patient's, but was in our building on Dr. Wissler's side of the building. The person affected is and was immediately quarantined and the office on both sides of the building have been cleaned to the highest sanitation standards.

Although, we share a building, we have few common area's that would be considered high risk exposure area's. We were told by the health department that with continued high standards of sanitization and social distancing as well as PPE, we are safe to continue to offer care to our patient's.

We understand that this is always a bit unnerving and we understand that for some, they may chose to wait to be seen until after a two week quarantine period. This is totally understandable and we will help reschedule as needed. If there were any concerns rest assured that the health department would contact you and or your family to make necessary quarantine or testing recommendations.

For all of those who have considered Invisalign treatment, especially adults, we wanted to share these amazing results.

Our patient, Sonia, a busy professional and coach was able to wear Invisalign trays while working with minimal discomfort, very few office visits and was able to complete her treatment in about a year and a half.

We wanted to give a special "that'a girl" to Miss. Tara!

She has been the unsung hero of the office during this entire mandatory shut down. She has been a jack of all trades.... disinfecting, organizing, updating as well as managing patient care.
We are all so very thankful for her and all that she does and has been doing during this time and always👊

She always has a smile on her face and is ready to tackle any task. She has been jumping into roles that were unfamiliar to her with no complaint's all the while juggling her family life with grace. We are so very proud to have her on our team!!

Hello Orthodontic Specialists families. We hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Weekend and we salute all of the service men and woman who have served and scarificed for our freedom.

📌 We also would like to announce that we will resume Orthodontic treatment for our patients after Friday, May 29th and plan to re-open the office(s) the week of June 1, 2020.

📌We encourage families to call the office to set up an appointment. Please be patient as we adjust to new standards of care as the process takes time. We are committed to providing the safest and most efficient experience for you, the patient, as well as the Ortho team, but due to these changes you may see longer wait times for scheduling.

📌One major change in the process will be our " virtual waiting room." To minimize overall exposure risk we are asking patients and families to participate in a virtual waiting room and eliminate the need for multiple family members from entering the waiting room and building. We ask that you call, text or contact us online to alert us to your arrival. We then will respond by letting you know when it's time for you to enter the building for your appointment.

If you have a smartphone you can download the app doxy.me/drbjp and you will be able to communicate with the staff and doctors. We will then be able to alert you when it is your appointment time and you can enter the building. We will also be able to answer questions parents may have via the app, but of course we can Do that over the phone as well. (906) 228-6442.

📌We understand that many of our younger patients are used to having a parent in the patient bay and to minimize the exposure to other patients as well as staff we strongly encourage you to please remain in the car for their appointments. We will make sure we guide the patient through the process and minimize any stress or fear they may have.

Hello patients and families, we have an update on our plans to reopen:

As of last week, our governor has extended the "stay home" order until the end of May. Due to this change we are extending the office closure until the first week in June in compliance with the MDA and our Governor's orders.

We know many of you are anxious to be seen and continue your orthodonic treatment, as are we, but we want to ensure a safe experience for both patients and staff.
We will continue to prepare for the reopen and obtain proper PPE and learn proper social distancing techniques to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for us all.

As always, please call the office for questions and concerns. Tara will be available to answer the phones and will return calls as promptly as able and schedule necessary emergency appointment's as well.

Keep flossing, brushing and wearing your rubber bands and Invisalign as prescribed and we anxiously await seeing all of your smiling faces😁😁😁

Thank you to all our Orthodontic Specialists families for being understanding during this time. We miss seeing all of your smiling faces and look forward to getting back to work and continuing your smile journey 😊

We, as Michigan residents, are abiding by the guidelines that our Governor has set in place.
The "stay at home," ban will lift some of these restrictions and allow many businesses to resume operation after May 15, 2020.
It is our hope to begin seeing patients starting the week of May 18th, 2020.

Of course this is subject to change based on any decisions that our Governor and/or MDA ( Michigan Dental Association) makes in regards to extending the, Stay at Home" order.
Or if we are deemed a "high risk" business.

We are currently working on protocols to make sure that your experience at the office will be safe. We will work with the Governor the MDA and the CDC to follow the strict guidelines regarding proper social distancing and PPE.
You may notice changes to the way we treat and see you during your visits.
Likely seeing less patients at one time and limiting how many people will be allowed in the waiting room or patient bay at a time.

Our staff will follow the guidelines for proper PPE, ensuring your safety as well as ours.
We will keep everyone updated as to what our protocol will be and please don't hesitate to ask questions.

Ms.Tara, has been working this entire time and we certainly appreciate her🥰

Update:

First, we hope everyone is staying healthy and able to fill their time with fun family time.

We are understand that during this time emergency situations will arise. Please call the office and leave detailed messages. Tara will be in and out of the office during the "shutdown," and will get back to you as soon as possible.
Hopefully we can come up with a solution to fix any issues without chair time, but Dr. Potocki and Dr. Fulks are committed to helping out and making sure all patients are comfortable and taken care of during this time.

We will keep all patients and families updated as to the date we will reopen. We will continue to follow the guidelines set forth by the governor and anxiously await seeing all of your smiling faces again.

Stay healthy and remember to continue to brush and floss! Most importantly if you have rubber bands- WEAR them😁😁 ( we can mail more if you run out!).
