Did you know a piece of dental history was discovered right here in our office?

We’re incredibly proud to share that Dr. Schetter and our hygienist, Paula, played a key role in helping verify what was officially recognized by The Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest milk (baby) tooth! 🦷

The oldest milk tooth is 95 years 138 days, as verified in Marquette, Michigan, USA on 29 June 2025, right here at Dental Associates! Marian has been using the same baby tooth ever since it erupted as a toddler. The tooth happily sits on her lower left jaw. As a molar, this baby tooth likely erupted between 16 and 24 months of age.

Their attention to detail helped document and confirm this remarkable record-breaking achievement. It’s not every day that a routine dental finding becomes part of world history!😊
