Mayor’s Message:
Our Lenape Regional community is holding a young student and her family in our prayers tonight.

When one of our children is hurting, we all feel it. The students of Shawnee, Cherokee, Lenape, Seneca, and BCIT share more than classrooms — they share friendships, teams, and a bond that connects Medford, Medford Lakes, and our neighboring communities. Their struggles do not stop at municipal borders — and neither does our care.

Bullying, isolation, and silent suffering are real. So is hope. So is help.

If you are a parent, please take time this evening to talk with your children. Ask them how they are doing — and truly listen. If you are a student who is struggling, please know this: you matter. You are valued. And there are adults ready to support you.

Thank you to the dedicated members of Medford EMS, our first responders, and the medical professionals providing care during this difficult time. We are also grateful to the educators and counselors throughout the Lenape Regional High School District and BCIT who are supporting students and families.

Let us be a community that chooses compassion.
Let us look out for one another.
Let us lead with kindness — especially when it is hardest.
