Sometimes the long-term plan has to wait. That doesn’t mean we do nothing.

This patient lost a front tooth. He couldn’t go without it, but he also wasn’t ready to commit to a final solution.

So we made a temporary Maryland bridge.

It provides a solution now and gives him time to decide what he wants to do next.

Not everything has to be done today. But doing nothing usually leads to a worse problem later.

Our job is to help you understand your options so you can decide what’s right for you.

What is a cavity?
A cavity is damage to a tooth caused by bacteria and acid over time.

Sometimes you can see it. Many times, you can’t. Many cavities don’t cause pain at first.

That’s why we take X-rays and photos. What looks fine on the surface isn’t always fine underneath.

If caught early, it can sometimes be treated conservatively. If deeper, it may need a filling, crown, or root canal.

If something feels off, it may be beyond the early stage.

The earlier it is found, the simpler the solution tends to be.

Root surfaces are more porous and more prone to decay.

Our patient’s tooth developed a small cavity along the gumline on the root surface.

We treated it with a filling today.

Concerns like this are easier to manage early. Give us a call.
