That feeling after a cleaning, when you catch your smile in the mirror and everything feels fresh. 🪞

What most people don’t realize is that it starts changing within the hour. A thin film begins to settle back over your teeth almost right away. By the next day, bacteria have spread across the surface. In a few days the layer grows thicker and more organized, and after about three weeks it’s a full, layered little world.

That’s why the care you give your smile at home matters as much as the care you receive here. Every brushing and every pass of floss gently resets the clock. 🌿

Dr. Ronald Goldstein, one of the pioneers of cosmetic dentistry, once called esthetic dentistry "the art of dentistry in its purest form." We think about that a lot.

Think of a portrait painter. Anyone can learn which paints to buy, but knowing where to soften a line or add a little warmth takes an eye. Cosmetic dentistry works the same way. The science keeps your teeth healthy and strong, and the artistry makes the result look like it was always yours.

Over the next few weeks, we'll share the small artistic details that shape the smile you see in the mirror. 🦷✨

Beware… the Wig Witches of Broad Park Circle have been spotted. 👻 They only come out in October, and their bite is surprisingly gentle. Happy first Saturday of spooky season, Mansfield! (Throwback to 2021 😉 )

Meet D'Ana ✨

October is Dental Hygiene Month, and we can't think of a better time to celebrate the hands behind so many of our patients' favorite visits. D'Ana makes every cleaning feel calm and unhurried, and she makes sure you're truly cared for. It's a little moment of self-care in the middle of a busy week. 🌿

Thank you, D'Ana, for helping every patient leave feeling refreshed and smiling. 💛

Fall in Texas is less about the leaves and more about the vibe. That first morning under seventy degrees, the return of all things pumpkin, and finally sitting on the patio again without melting. We'll take it. Here's to boots that are more decorative than necessary and the best few weeks of Mansfield weather all year. 💙

Quick year-end heads up, Mansfield. If you have dental benefits or FSA dollars, most reset on January 1, and anything left over doesn't carry into the new year. Translation: it's use it or lose it, and the calendar is closer than it feels. Add in a schedule that books solid through the holidays, and now is genuinely the smart time to get in. Call or message us and we'll handle the rest. 💙

Remember when a filling meant a little silver flag waving from the back of your smile? Those days are over. Tooth-colored fillings come in a range of shades, and we match yours to the tooth around it like a paint swatch.

Bonus fun fact: they harden in seconds under a blue light, not overnight. Your secret is safe with us. ✨

At Schoening DDS, caring is not an extra. It is part of the treatment. We take our time, we listen, and your goals become our goals. That is how trust is built, one visit at a time, right here in Mansfield. 💙
