What I love about being a registered dental hygienist at WED: 🦷

"I'm excited to share that we have the Biolase Diode Epic Dental Laser right here in our office.

With biolase dental laser technology we can treat a variety of dental concerns while helping minimize discomfort, bleeding, & swelling in appropriate cases.

Laser dentistry is more than just a dental tool. I personally have used it on patients who have dealt with severe tooth sensitivity. Patients have tried other alternatives, to help with their tooth sensitivity. When the diode laser was used they had noticed a significant change in having less sensitivity.

Biolase diode laser can also be a benefit for patients who struggle with TMJ discomfort. This type of laser therapy may help support comfort & reduce inflammation associated with muscle & joint discomfort.

Another great benefit for this dental laser tool is that it can be incorporated into periodontal treatment on some patients who may deal with perio disease. This type of laser helps support healthier gums & can help manage inflammation & bacteria around the teeth.

I am so happy that our office has this dental tool & technology readily available. It helps make my job as a hygienist alot more detailed & precise when it comes to patient care in our office. It's gentle non-invasive in many applications & can be a great addition to a personalized dental care plan."

Why I love being an RDA at WED: 🦷

"I love being a part of patient care, especially when using our CBCT machine for 3D imaging.

Our CBCT helps our Dr.'s see in great detail: individual teeth, bone density, nerve pathways, & can help the Dr.'s detect TMJ/Jaw disorders. It has really helped our office to be able to see clearly what treatment is needed right away & give the patients answers & better understanding of what treatment they may or may not need.

It's also very easy & comfortable to use. I also like to see the patients navigate with the Dr.'s on what they see in each image. To be able to have this kind of technology readily available in our office for our patients, goes above & beyond for patient care.

With all the different image view points that we get with this 3D system, it helps our patients understand clearly what's going on in their overall oral health."
