A little peek inside Little Bear 🐻🤎

Every corner of our office was created with little patients in mind. A space where kids can explore, feel comfortable, and maybe even get a little excited about going to the dentist. 🦷✨

When do baby teeth come in? 🦷🐻

Most babies get their first tooth around 6 months old, although every child is different. The bottom front teeth usually show up first, followed by the top front teeth, with more teeth continuing to come in through the toddler years.

By around age 3, most children have all 20 of their baby teeth.

Every little smile develops on its own timeline, so a little variation is completely normal.

Walking over to see my favorite people in my Crocs like it’s part of the job description. 😂🐻

Comfy shoes, happy kids, and another day at Little Bear.

There’s nothing better than watching a child walk in feeling nervous and leave saying, “I loved the dentist.” 🐻🦷🤍

That shift in confidence is exactly why we take the time to meet every child where they are and make their experience feel safe, comfortable, and positive.

Those little wins mean everything to us.

Meet Dr. Skuja. 🐻🤍

Dr. Skuja is a board certified pediatric dentist who believes every child deserves dental care that feels positive, encouraging, and completely tailored to them.

Born in Libya and raised in Saudi Arabia, her path eventually brought her to the United States, where she pursued her passion for healthcare and pediatric dentistry. Throughout her career, she has worked in many different dental settings and cared for children with a wide range of needs and backgrounds.

Those experiences helped shape her vision for Little Bear: a welcoming, judgment free practice where children can feel comfortable being themselves and parents can feel heard, supported, and confident asking questions.

Outside of the office, Dr. Skuja is a mom of two who loves spending time with family and friends, cooking, trying new recipes, gardening, and sneaking in a peaceful trip to the arboretum or museum whenever she gets the chance. 🌿

Little Bear is a reflection of the kind of care she has always wanted families to experience. Thoughtful, personal, and centered around every child who walks through the door. 🦷✨

Baby teeth deserve care too. 🦷🐻

They help children eat, speak, smile, and hold space for their adult teeth as they grow. Keeping them healthy is an important part of your child’s overall dental health.

Small teeth still deserve big care. 🤍
