3 Common Mistakes Parents Make When Brushing Their Child’s Teeth 🐻
We see these all the time — and you are definitely not alone.
1️⃣ Stopping too soon.
Kids don’t usually have the coordination to brush effectively on their own until around age 7–8. Even if they want to “do it myself,” they still need your help.
2️⃣ Using too much toothpaste.
A smear (rice-sized) for under 3. A pea-sized amount for 3+. More foam doesn’t mean cleaner teeth.
3️⃣ Rushing the routine.
Two full minutes matters — especially along the gumline and back molars (where cavities love to hide).
