This past weekend, I had the incredible privilege of receiving my accreditation with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry …….an achievement that would not have been possible without the support, encouragement, and guidance of so many people over the past three years.
It has been a challenging journey filled with late nights, long weekends, extensive travel, intense study, and at times, pure perseverance. Every step of the way, I’ve been fortunate to have people beside me who pushed me forward.
First and foremost, my parents, who instilled in me the importance of setting a high bar and striving to be the best I can be.
Dr. Mickey Bernstein, thank you for reigniting this journey. Our conversation in 2020 was the spark that got me started again. Without you, I may have never taken that first step.
To my wife, Teresa, your patience, encouragement, and belief in me never wavered. To my son, Austin, my partner in practice, thank you for always being there when I needed you. Your support and Sarah Peyton's support mean more than I can express.
To my daughter, Aubree, who graduates dental school in May, thank you for always cheering me on. I’m incredibly proud of you.
To my amazing patients : Jordan Tew, Shawn Edwards, Barbara Warren, Kim White, and others, thank you for your trust, your time, and your willingness to return again and again for revisions and photographs. This would not have been possible without you.
Steve Hoofard—your exceptional ceramics, mentorship, and countless conversations helped train my eye for detail. You’ve become a great friend, and I’m truly grateful for your dedication over the past three years.
To Diana Tadros, Keerti, and Greg Wright—thank you for your constant mentorship and guidance. You give your time so generously, and it does not go unnoticed.
Adamo and Amanda , your inspiration and leadership in education are unmatched. The Impress courses played a major role in this journey.
A big thank you to Dr. Richard Poole, my assistants Dallas and Marie, and my incredible team at Center for Contemporary Dentistry. Your support behind the scenes made all the difference.
And finally, to the AACD, thank you for the community, the education, and the opportunity to grow into a better cosmetic dentist.
This journey was demanding, humbling, and ultimately incredibly rewarding. Thank you Lord for this opportunity and everyone who played a part.
