📞✨ Happy National Receptionists Day! ✨📞
Today we’re celebrating the heart of our front office, our incredible reception team! From the moment you walk through our doors or call our office, they are the friendly faces and voices that help keep everything running smoothly.

✨ Meet Desiree:
“I have worked at Kingdom Dentistry for just over a year. Starting as a dental assistant, I have since moved to the front desk and help out around the office where I can. The best part of my role is connecting with patients each day, jumping in to assist wherever I am needed around the office, and working alongside such a great group of coworkers.
Outside of work, I’m especially excited to be preparing with my husband as we get ready to welcome our baby girl, Eleanor, who is due to arrive this summer. I also enjoy being outdoors, traveling, spending time with family, reading, and staying busy with my photography business.”

✨Meet Sundus:
“I have had the pleasure of being a part of the Kingdom Dentistry team for about a year and a half now. What I truly cherish about my job is the opportunity to assist our patients in getting the care and support they need for their oral health. Everyday, I look forward to coming to work because of the incredible team we have here, their dedication and camaraderie make this place feel like a second home.
When I am not at work, I’m a student at Vermont State University majoring in Business Marketing, with plans to graduate in May 2027. After graduation, I plan to move with my two cats. In my free time, I enjoy baking, cooking, and traveling to experience different cultures, as well as spending quality time with friends and family.”

Our front desk team wears many hats each day—scheduling appointments, coordinating patient care, answering questions, assisting with insurance, making sure every patient feels welcomed and cared for, and so much more. Their role is essential to creating a positive and seamless experience for everyone who visits our office.

We are so grateful for their dedication, organization, and the care they show to both our patients and our team every single day. 💙

🦷 Save Your Tooth Month 🦷

May is Save Your Tooth Month, a perfect reminder to prioritize your oral health and take simple steps that make a big difference.

Your natural teeth are meant to last a lifetime, and we’re here to help make that happen! Brushing twice a day, flossing daily, and keeping up with regular dental visits can help prevent decay, gum disease, and tooth loss. Early care is always easier (and less costly) than treatment later on.

If it’s been a while since your last visit, now is a great time to schedule an appointment. Your smile is worth it!

Call us today at 802-427-3323 to get on the schedule—we’re here to help you protect your smile for years to come.

🦷💙 Happy Dental Hygienist Week! 💙🦷

This week, we are proud to celebrate and thank our incredible hygienists for the care, compassion, and dedication they bring to our office and patients every single day. We are so grateful to have such an amazing team here at Kingdom Dentistry!

Here’s a little more about the amazing hygienists who make our office so special:

Patti
“I have truly enjoyed working at Kingdom Dentistry for the last 5 years! I was born and raised here in Lyndonville. I graduated from Lyndon Institute and then attended the University of Vermont where I earned my degree in Dental Hygiene. The people I work with are amazing and I am truly blessed to work with such an amazing team! When I’m not at work, I enjoy chasing my grandchildren from one event to another! I also love being at my camp where I have my garden and blueberries and enjoying watching nature.”

Kaylah
“Born and raised in the Northeast Kingdom, I have been a dental hygienist for three years. I graduated from Vermont Technical College in 2023 with an Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene. Outside of my career, my most important role is being a mother to my daughter, Hartley. I enjoy spending time with my family and appreciate the simple things in life! When I’m not at work you can find me on the farm with my spouse, Tucker, or in my garden. I take pride in helping others feel confident in their smiles while building meaningful connections with my patients, and I am committed to providing high-quality care while promoting oral health and education.”

Danielle
“I grew up right here in the Northeast Kingdom. After earning my bachelor’s degree from Vermont Technical College, I spent a few years practicing out of state before finding my way back home in 2018. Since returning, I’ve loved caring for the people of the NEK once again. Outside the office, I stay busy with my two young girls and sport-loving stepson. When my partner Eric, and I find a quiet moment, I enjoy spending time in my garden and cooking delicious meals. At work, my top priority is ensuring patients feel comfortable and at ease in the dental chair while receiving thorough, high-quality hygiene care.”

Thank you for all that you do to keep our patients smiling bright — your hard work does not go unnoticed! 🦷 We are so lucky to have you as part of our team, and our office wouldn’t be the same without you.

April is Oral Cancer Awareness Month 🦷💙

At our office, your health goes beyond just your teeth. Oral cancer screenings are a quick, simple part of your dental exam that can make a life-saving difference.

During your visit, our team checks for any unusual changes in the mouth, lips, tongue, and throat—it only takes a few minutes, but it’s an important step in protecting your overall health.

Be aware of signs like:
• Persistent sores
• Lumps or thickened areas
• Difficulty swallowing
• Red or white patches

If you notice anything unusual, don’t ignore it. Early detection is key as oral cancer is most treatable when caught early.

If it’s been a while since your last exam, call Kingdom Dentistry at 802-427-3323 to schedule your visit.

Your health is always our priority.

🦷🌎 World Oral Health Day – March 20th 🌎🦷

Your mouth is the gateway to your overall health, and today is the perfect reminder to give your smile the care it deserves! Let’s break down a few common myths vs. facts about oral health:

❌ Myth: If my teeth don’t hurt, they must be healthy.
✅ Fact: Many dental issues start silently. Regular checkups help catch problems early—before they become painful (and costly!).

❌ Myth: Brushing harder cleans better.
✅ Fact: Gentle, thorough brushing with a soft-bristled toothbrush protects your enamel and gums while keeping your teeth clean.

❌ Myth: Flossing isn’t necessary if you brush well.
✅ Fact: Flossing removes plaque and food particles where your toothbrush can’t reach—helping prevent cavities and gum disease.

✨ What makes good oral health?
• Brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste
• Flossing daily
• Using a fluoride mouth rinse
• Eating a balanced diet and limiting sugary snacks
• Visiting your dental team regularly

Celebrate World Oral Health Day by taking one small step toward a healthier smile… and if you’re due for a visit, contact Kingdom Dentistry for your oral health needs at 802-427-3323. We’re here to help! 😁

🦷✨ Happy National Dentist Day! ✨🦷
Today we are proud to celebrate and recognize the incredible dentists who serve our patients and our community with skill, compassion, and dedication — Dr. Kussad and our associate, Dr. Lavieri Sosa.

Here’s what being a dentist means to them:

“I enjoy being able to provide my services where they are most needed, such as in our community here in rural Vermont. Providing dental care is often challenging, but being able to do that for my patients, who are generally understanding and appreciative, definitely motivates me. One of my favorite things to do in dentistry is to provide relief to someone who is suffering from dental pain- whether it be extracting a tooth, performing a root canal, or simply fixing something that was broken. I find it satisfying to help someone improve their quality of life through my services. I am also grateful to have an excellent team of co-workers at my practice.”
-Dr. Kussad

“Dentistry has never felt like a 9-5 to me. It’s always been an opportunity for me to help others while doing something I really love. I’ve had a passion for dentistry since I was 15 years old and have always been so grateful for this career. I enjoy being a general dentist as it provides me with the opportunity to do a range of procedures. I especially love surgical procedures but always feel fulfilled no matter how big or small the procedure may be. I look forward to continue meeting and working on the patients of the Northeast Kingdom!”
-Dr. Lavieri Sosa

Thank you, Dr. Kussad and Dr. Lavieri Sosa, for your dedication to your patients and for making a lasting impact in our community. We are lucky to have you leading our team! 👏🦷

This week, we are celebrating the incredible dental assistants who keep our days running smoothly and our patients smiling. Marissa and Acacia, we are so grateful for your dedication, compassion, and hard work. You are truly the heart of our team!

A bit about them:
"I grew up right here in the Northeast Kingdom and I’ve been a dental assistant for almost 7 years. I love being part of a team that helps patients feel at ease. I enjoy building relationships and making every visit as comfortable as possible. I’m passionate about teamwork and take pride in creating a positive experience for our patients. When I’m not in the office, you can find me hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, spending time with my family and friends, creating art, or hanging out with my dog, Zion."
-Marissa

"I have been a dental assistant and been with Kingdom Dentistry for almost a year. I love the variety of procedures in general dentistry. My goal is to ensure a positive and stress free experience so patients always look forward to their visit. Outside of work, I enjoy painting, kayaking, fishing with my son, and spending time with my family and friends, along with my 4 dogs and 3 ducks. I love to cook, bake, and enjoy learning new skills."
-Acacia

Thank you both for the kindness you show our patients, the teamwork you bring to every procedure, and the positivity you share with our office each day. We appreciate you not just this week, but every single day! 👏 Please help us celebrate them in the comments! ✨
