The team at Chesapeake Oral Surgery & Dental Implants is committed to providing the highest quality care to patients of greater Baltimore and Harford counties. Dr. Leonard Spector is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with over 30 years of comprehensive experience in the full-range of oral surgery and dental implant procedures. These include removal of wisdom teeth and non-

restorable teeth, placement of dental implants, bone grafting, orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, and facial and dental trauma surgery. Dr. Spector’s advanced anesthesia training allows for many safe and comfortable options during surgery, including local anesthesia, nitrous oxide (laughing gas), IV sedation, or general anesthesia. Our practice utilizes state-of-the-art, cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans that provide highly accurate 3-dimensional x-ray images. This advanced technology allows us to diagnose and develop treatment plans for cases involving dental implants, impacted teeth, reconstructive jaw surgery, temporomandibular joint disorders and other dental procedures. These three-dimensional images enable a level of patient safety and care not possible with conventional x-rays to ensure the highest quality of patient care. Dear Friends and Colleagues,

THERE'S A LOT RIDING ON THIS

Once again, I’ll be riding in the Pan-Mass Challenge, (PMC). Unlike last summer’s virtual experience, the almost 200 mile ride will be back in Massachusetts, in-person. I’m humbled to be part of this important mission to raise funds for cancer treatment and research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

When I started this ride in 1997, I couldn’t have imagined how many of my friends and family members’ lives would be affected by cancer and how personal this journey would become. Over the years, I’ve raised over $150,000. for the PMC, bringing my daughter, brother, wife, cousins and stepson along to ride and collect funds with me. One of the things that keeps me coming back every August is the support we get from cancer survivors, researchers, physicians and patients’ families. Every year the ride route is lined with people clanging bells, wearing silly outfits and holding signs to thank us for our efforts. Some of the signs describe survivors' own cancer treatment journeys. It's impossible to participate without feeling a shared sense of mission and pride in making a meaningful contribution to others.

The PMC donates 100% of every rider-raised dollar directly to Dana Farber and is the institute’s largest single contributor, raising more than 64% of the annual revenue at the Jimmy Fund. It’s easy to see how important your generous donations are.
This year I’ll be riding my 25th PMC along with my stepson Dana, who will be riding his 9th. Dana and I will share our contributions to honor our combined fundraising pledge of $12,000 dollars this year.
