Dear Patients and Friends,
Your kindness and generosity have been overwhelming and inspiring. We would like to sincerely thank every one of you on behalf of all Ukrainians. Whether you contributed to the fundraiser or expressed words of solidarity, your support means a lot to us, our family, and the people of Ukraine.
We are still raising funds and distributing aid, but we wanted to give everyone a full update. Our progress so far has provided:
*$20,000 worth of Body Armor to soldiers in the medical field (medics).
*We have supplied $3,600 for field tourniquets for injuries to extremities and with another $3200 of flour and oil for bread making.
*We purchased $33,000 worth of food and filled a semi-truck with these goods.
* We have provided “plate carriers”, knee pads, tactical backpacks that were directly delivered by our family members in the staging towns and cities in the West. Without our connections and family members that are busy everyday helping in the war effort, we would not be nearly as helpful with these donations. Currently we have chosen to help 2 specific platoons of fighters who have connections to Ulyana’s hometown.
*We’ve sent $30,000 worth of surgical instruments acquired from online auctions and shipped them to military hospital in Ulyana’s hometown that treats wounded soldiers. We received boxes of supplies from Dr. John McPhillips, Dr. Karen Williamson and several patients. These supplies were also sent to the surgical team thru our family at this same hospital.
*We are thankful for our partners from “Bridge of Hope” in Poland (Rafal Tomala, Oksana Malitska) and “Help Ukraine Romania” (Liliya Bortych), Jason and Christopher Moore (“Greater Grace World Outreach” and “Evergrace Church".)
*Ms. Ellen Darby has been especially helpful in working on logistics and shipping. George Winchell created our beautiful video for our initial message and did a fantastic job. A big thank you to all of these special people!
*We have generated many donations that were directed to our churches in Lviv, Odessa, Kyiv, Cherkassy and Warsaw where transport has been given to those escaping shelling and missile strikes and resources have been given to those refugee women and children that already have escaped the country and are in need of food and housing.
