Early Learning Program at Community Teamwork

A big thank you to Behavioral Health Supports from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care for visiting our Lowell Collaborative Preschool Academy site with the one and only Tucker the Turtle! 🐢💚
Tucker the Turtle is a beloved friend from the Pyramid Model in Early Childhood who helps children learn how to recognize big feelings, calm their bodies, and problem-solve in safe and positive ways. Through fun stories, breathing techniques, and “tucking into their shell” to take a moment to calm down, Tucker teaches children important social-emotional skills they can use every day!
Our educators and children had such a wonderful time learning, practicing calming strategies, and building emotional awareness together. Thank you for supporting our classrooms and helping us continue to foster safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environments for all children!

We had a very special (and very fun) visitor at the Toddler Corner last week! 🎉💛
A big thank you to Michelle Haimowitz for spending time with us and jumping right into the action with our infants and toddlers. From floor play to books, toys , and all the joyful chaos that comes with little learners, she was right in the mix—laughing , engaging, and connecting with children in such a meaningful way.
The room was filled with giggles, curiosity, and busy little hands, and it was so heartwarming to watch our youngest learners invite her into their space and everyday experiences.
We’re grateful for the support, partnership, and time spent with our program as we continue building strong foundations for children and families ❤️ Head Start Association

We had a very special guest join us for Community in the Classroom—CTI’s very own Chief Executive Officer, Carl Howell! 🐛📚
It was such a fun and exciting moment to see our learners light up during the visit. Carl spent time with the children and brought The Very Hungry Caterpillar to life through a wonderful story time that had everyone fully engaged from start to finish.
Moments like these are what make our classrooms so special, connecting children with leaders in our community in fun, meaningful, and memorable ways.

We had an amazing Community in the Classroom experience at our Parker Avenue site in Dracut with a very special guest—Caley Zannoni, owner of .h2o ! 🌊🐠
Caley brought big energy and even bigger expertise as she taught our little learners all about water safety. The children practiced important safety techniques, learned how to stay safe around water, and even “swam” right on the ground—because sometimes you have to start your strokes on dry land before making a splash! 😄
It was incredible to see the excitement, engagement, and confidence building as Caley shared her knowledge in such a fun and kid-friendly way.
A huge thank you to Caley Zannoni for partnering with us and helping our children learn life-saving water safety skills in such a memorable experience. We are so grateful for your time, energy, and commitment to our community! 💙
