As Kentucky Youth Advocates serves as the backbone organization for Kentucky Oral Health Coalition, we are excited to Dr. Shannon Moody in her transition as new Executive Director, and thank Terry Brooks for this decades long commitment to KYA. We look forward to being apart of this new chapter, and to keep advocacy at the core of all of our work for Kentuckians!

As we enjoy warmer days in the Commonwealth, Kentucky’s legislature wrapped up another state budget session on April 15th. Among the nearly 1300 bills filed in Frankfort this year, there were several with components that focused on oral health, underscoring recent trends among Kentucky leaders to place emphasis on the importance of oral health.
