Kentucky Oral Health Coalition A coalition of dental professionals, parents, teachers, advocates & many businesses working together

The Kentucky Oral Health Coalitions will;

To actively participate, communicate and encourage relationships of the Kentucky Oral Health Coalition with other advocacy groups in promoting oral and overall health for everyone residing in the Commonwealth;

To promote and encourage active interaction, effective collaboration and cooperation between all providers of oral and general health care and in

dividuals within the population of Kentucky that need oral health services, prevention and education through the establishment of public-private partnerships by 2014;

To advocate for improved access to oral and general health prevention, services and education for all residents of the Commonwealth by 2020.

As Kentucky Youth Advocates serves as the backbone organization for Kentucky Oral Health Coalition, we are excited to Dr. Shannon Moody in her transition as new Executive Director, and thank Terry Brooks for this decades long commitment to KYA. We look forward to being apart of this new chapter, and to keep advocacy at the core of all of our work for Kentuckians!

Among the nearly 1300 bills filed in Frankfort this year, there were several with components that focused on oral health, underscoring recent trends among Kentucky leaders to place emphasis on the importance of oral health.
