⏰ Follow-up on the impacted tooth post from April 11, 2022

👄 This patient came to me for a correction surgery after the orthodontist had tried dragging out a tooth stuck in the bone after another surgeon attempted a tooth exposure surgery. The poor patient waited a year and a half with the tooth not budging at all!

👏🏼 So gratifying to see the tooth moving this much after what we did for her! Now the only thing the orthodontist has to do is close the extra space she made to bring the tooth into alignment.

📈The after photo was taken only 2 months after the procedure was done! The gums will continue to mature and blend in over time.

✨ The after photo was taken this month and she is so happy with the results because she is only in her 20’s and wanted this fixed ASAP.

Continuation of the previous post ✨

The first photo shows her mouth before she began any treatment. For decades, she always put other people’s needs before hers - her two daughters and then her granddaughter. Her gums were bleeding and pus came out from her gums. Her mouth hurt all the time and her teeth started to shift and fall out from untreated advanced gum disease.

After so many years of her not seeing the dentist, her daughters booked an appointment for her. She was deeply embarrassed to show me her mouth and did not like to show her teeth at all. She received deep cleanings, removal of hopeless teeth, gum surgeries and dental implants.

One of her daughters texted me saying happy new year and thanked me for helping her mother. The Google translate isn’t perfect but it conveys that her mother’s smiling face is beautiful thanks to the work we did for her.

😬 This patient was concerned about the yellowish part of the root that was exposed from gum recession.

💫 Gum grafting was performed to correct the gum recession. The exposed roots were covered and the gums thickened.
