Pregnancy is hard on the female body. Being a mother was the biggest blessing of my life, and I can only hope that God gives me the strength and health to have many more. After I gave birth I wanted so bad to be able to wear jeans again, or fit into my favorite dresses. I kept wondering how is it that so many women get these flat stomachs and six pack abs and they are fresh out the hospital? I remember packing a cute matching outfit to wear with my baby girl when we left the hospital, but I could only get one thigh in, so the maternity pants went back on. I’m still ten pounds away from my pre pregnancy weight, but slowly but surely my pants are fitting better, and my belly skin is snapping back day by day. When people say wow you don’t look like you had a baby! All I can think is thank goodness for belly wraps! The best advice I got from a fellow mother, is not to be too hard on yourself, to just be confident and patient, because it all slowly pieces back in time. So I just continue to eat right, exercise as much as I can, hug and kiss my baby, and love my body, I only got this one.
