Wonder why your breath smells,
White tongue is the result of an overgrowth and swelling of the finger like projections(papillae) on the surface of your tongue. It’s caused by debris, bacteria and dead cells getting loaded between enlarged and sometimes inflamed papillae.
Tartar/calculus creates ledges and more places for bacteria to thrive. Makes your dental cleanings a lot harder to achieve. The bacteria in these areas break down food and drink, and byproduct is often a bad smell.
