The Fun (and slightly annoying) Fact: Unlike cold sores, canker sores are not viral and they are not contagious. They are actually an autoimmune response where your body’s T-cells decide to get a little too aggressive with your own mucosal tissue. Essentially, your mouth is "over-defending" itself! 🛡️

While we wait for the body to do its thing (usually 7–14 days), here is how we manage them in the chair and at home:

Foods: Stay away from Citrus, Spicy, Salt, Sharp and Crunchy foods.
