Meet Allison Allison Joined the Volterra team in 2020. She became a registered dental hygienist through Cypress College after her completion of courses from San Diego State University. You will find that she is compassionate, able to put her patients at ease and always ensures a positive dental experience with a big smile on her face. Allison loves getting to know her patients, building long term relationships, as well as advocating for each and everyone of her patient’s oral health.
Allison grew up locally, is a Los Alamitos High School alumni, and is very connected within the community.
When not at work, she enjoys snow skiing, wake surfing, traveling, going to the beach, and spending time with her husband Mitchell and family.

Meet Dr.Richard Blackburn
Richard Blackburn, DMD, is a highly sought-after dentist serving patients at Volterra Dental Comprehensive and Aesthetic Dentistry in Los Alamitos, California. Dr. Blackburn received his training at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. While there, he earned a reputation with instructors and fellow students as an individual with high integrity and an exceptionally skilled clinician. His clinical background includes implant placement and restoration, root canals, wisdom teeth extractions, cosmetic dentistry, sleep and TMJ analysis, and other general dentistry procedures.In the fall of 2019, he got married and recently welcomed his first child, a baby boy. Serving this community has been a life-long goal for Dr. Blackburn, as he and his wife were both born and raised in Southern Orange County. When Dr. Blackburn isn’t working, he enjoys the coastal landscape and beach activities with his family and friends.He is honored to provide the highest quality dental care to his patients and looks forward to building lasting relationships and giving back to the area he so admires.
