🚨Parents, would you know how to spot a dental emergency? 🚨

From playground tumbles to unexpected aches, childhood dental emergencies happen when we least expect them! Knowing what counts as an emergency helps you act fast and keep your child comfortable.

Here are the 4 most common pediatric dental emergencies to watch out for:

🦷Knocked-Out Teeth: Whether it is a baby tooth or a permanent tooth, an empty socket from an accident requires immediate professional attention.

🦷Chipped, Cracked, or Broken Teeth: Rough play can cause sudden fractures. Even small chips need to be checked to prevent deep nerve damage or infection.

🦷Severe, Sudden Toothaches: Unexplained, throbbing pain or facial swelling usually points to an underlying issue that needs a dentist's care right away.

🦷Injuries to the Lips, Gums, or Tongue: Deep cuts, tears, or severe bruising to the soft tissues of the mouth can bleed heavily and need evaluation.

‼️When to skip the dentist and go straight to the ER: If your child has a suspected broken jaw, uncontrollable bleeding, or severe swelling that makes it hard to breathe or swallow, seek immediate emergency medical care.‼️
